Dropout
prevention Program (Grades 9-12)
JAG-Colorado serves young people with barriers to success. The more barriers to success that a young person might have, the more he or she is considered 'at-risk' of graduating from high school or having a successful transition from school to an entry level job that leads to a career.
Through a formal affiliation agreement with JAG, JAG-Colorado receive JAG Model Books, training and technical assistance to implement the JAG Model. JAG-Colorado also benefits from the national leadership of over thirty public and private sector chief executives, including ten Governors and several corporate executives, who serve on the JAG Board of Directors.
After more than two decades of operation, JAG has proven to be one of the most cost-effective and successful state-level strategies for tackling high dropout rates, low academic performance, youth unemployment, and other critical issues related to at-risk youth.
